TAKEN - Thanks for your interest everyone! If you wanted to participate this time but weren't able to, word on the street is that I'm starting to work with a writer on a new project. I'm thinking it will be a longer short(45 min) or feature length(90min+).

Coldplay is putting the finishing touches on its fourth studio album, an as-yet-untitled project set for an early summer release via Capitol. A summer tour of North America and Europe will follow.

Hey everyone! I have an exciting event that I need people for - The Christian Filmmakers 24 hour film contest. Basically, the contest is, you have 24 hours to make a film(3 mins long), including editing and VFX. So here's the deal: On March the 1st, at 12am, we would all meet at a pre-arranged location. At that location, we would start getting ideas for stories and locations and such. At 6am CST(5am our time), several story elements will be revealed on the contest website, which must be incorporated is some way(with points for originality) into our story. As soon as that happens, we'll take a couple hours to finish writing our story, then we'll starting shooting it. That will probably take 15 hours or so, leaving myself with 7 hours of editing time, for the 6am CST deadline.

So, I would like any volunteers(max of 9). Here are the types of people I'll need:

1 writer(also supervisor during shooting for things like continuity)(PENDING)
1 camera operator(TAKEN)
4 actors(3 TAKEN, 1 PENDING)
1 make-up and costumes person(TAKEN)
2 production assistants(building sets, laying down cables, setting up stuff, getting us donuts, etc). One of these should be able to drive, with their own car.(1 TAKEN, 1 PENDING)

So, if you're interested, let me know! I won't be going to the whole Canadian Idol auditions anymore - this is slightly more interesting, and fun! If you can't come during the night, that's understandable, just let me know how early in the morning you can arrive. 8am would probably be the latest, I think, because after that we'll have to start travelling and such. As an added bonus, if we win, we get $500. I think it'd be fair to first cover all the costs of production, and then either split it equally, or just blow it all on a dinner or something :P. Anyways, once I get enough volunteers, I'll start working on where to meet and all that. Also, if anyone wants to chip in on the budget, that'd be awesome, because I'm not really that rich. But yeah, I won't expect you to, just if you feel especially generous, then...yeah :P.
