Many

Well, yesterday was pretty much really awesome, and today was too, surpisingly enough. Though, it pretty much sucked between 7:30 and 8:30 for no reason at all. Anyways, the rest of the time was sweet. Oh, I think I have to cover Friday night as well, which was reeallyy fun as well. So yeah, my weekend was the best :P.

Friday night:

Note: This is a true story. Everything in this story actually happened. Some minor details may have been altered for dramatization. The names of the people involved have been altered to protect their privacy.

Keithers set his bike down carefully, and Brockers quickly followed suit. Quietly, they crept into a forest of tall grass, and stopped behind a tiny tree. A head rose above the level of the grass, followed by another. Light streamed out of the building that lay directly ahead, sending its rays glittering onto the steel pipes that were scattered in the gravel lot. The enormous opening to the factory revealed a very suspicious looking object. It was like a fan, made of white metal, blooming outwards high above the ground. A clanging echoed from within the factory. It was not empty.

"Why are there people there at 10:00 PM?" Keithers whispered. Brockers just shrugged. "Let's get closer."

The two boys snuck through the grass. There was an eerie silence, broken only by the rythmic clanging from within. Keithers slapped at a misquito, a wasted effort, considering the many that were surrounding him. They reached a small hill, just at the border of the gravel.

"Ok, the escape plan is, if we get seen, get to this hill, and then go for our bikes as fast as possible. Got it?"

Keithers glanced around, and saw the stack of pipes that lay on the ground directly ahead of him. He moved, cautiously, out of the tall grass, into the open. There was no movement from within the building, just the clanging that signaled life. He dashed forward, dove, and rolled behind the cover of the pipes. He signaled to Brockers, and was quickly joined by him.

Keithers poked his head just above the level of the pipes. It was impossible to see anything clearly, considering the distance, and the fact that there were building materials in the way.

"We have to get closer!" Brockers nodded in agreement. He followed Keithers, and they wove their way through numerous obstacles, until they found themselves behind a huge steel pipe, providing excellent cover, but no easy view of the factory. Keithers rose to his feet again, straining to get a good look. That's when he saw it.

"There's a person, right there, do you see him?!" Keithers felt a shiver of anticipation crawl down his spine. "I think I see a place where we can get closer. It's right on the other side of the pipe. Let's go under."

Going under was a ridiculous idea, of course, considering the size of the opening, and the size of both parties. But the attempt was made.

"I'm stuck!" Keithers frantically pulled forward, but to no avail. No amount of force was going to get him through that opening, at least, not like he was. Keithers had an idea. Sucking his stomach in, he slowly went through, inchworm style. It took quite some time, but finally, he pulled his feet through. He turned around, and Brockers attempted the same. Happily, Brockers being smaller than Keithers, it took a minimal amount of effort to get him through. They both turned around.

The first thing they noticed, was that there was no more cover in front of them, save a small bunch of metal framework, filled with holes for viewing, but also providing very little hiding places. The second thing they noticed was that there was not one person there, or two, but five. They were working busily, on something. The purpose of the white fan was still not clear. Another thing that struck them, was that the gravel lot was used as a storage for any extra materials they might need. The last thing they noticed was a man, headed for a forklift. Not first realizing his intent, they were startled by a roar, coming from the direction of the factory. Keithers looked, and saw the forklift, headed straight for where they were hiding.

"Get back, get back," Keithers frantically whispered to Brockers. As you all might recall, it had taken them a significant amount of time to get under the pipe, and going back wouldn't be any easier. Keithers pushed, but there was no way that that would work. Panic overtook them. Keithers looked again, straight into the eyes of the man driving the forklift, only a few metres away. A chill took his heart, and he motioned to Brockers, to lie still. He propped himself on his elbow, attempting to look as relaxed as possible.

"Ok, I'm going to say we're just chilling out, having some fun," Keithers whispered to Brockers. The roar stopped, followed by an awful silence. Keithers strained his ears, but he heard no footsteps. Minutes, or was it hours, ticked by. The forklift roared back to life, and the sound, which before had been so close, began to fade. Keithers risked a look, and saw the back end of the forklift.

"Let's get out of here!"

They frantically pulled through the pipe, this time working at it, until finally, they both were through. Then, a moment of bravdo took Keithers, and he jumped up to his feet, out of any hiding they might have had previously. He sprinted, back through all those places they had snuck through, covering the backwards route in a few seconds. He leaped over the hill, dashed through the grass, and reached his bike. He looked back. Brockers was nowhere to be seen.

"Crap."

He retraced his steps, yet again. He reached the hill. Nothing. No Brockers to be seen. Then he saw a movement from the pipes, and then Brockers reached the hill. "Let's go!"

They both ran back to their bikes, and took off.

I know what you're thinking. Sheer stupidity. But hey, it was fun :).

Saturday:

Saturday morning, plans were made with my best mate Vic, to attend a showing of "Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest", in Brantford, at 7:30. Well, Keith decided to make his life incredibly complicated, so, he invited KathleenD. That's when everything broke down. First of all, Kathleen couldn't get a ride to Brantford. So, I figured, it shouldn't be too bad to just get a ride over to Ancaster, no problem, only 20 minutes, my parents won't mind. Right, way to be a thinker, Keith. I won't get into the specifics of why they didn't agree, but let's just leave it at, they said they wouldn't get me there. Now, I was left in a quandry, because, since my parents are generally cool with stuff like that, I had told Kathleen I would be there. So, I had to break the sad news that I couldn't get there. I didn't give up, of course, but I was kind of out of options(or so I thought). Then, Vic arrived to save the day. After hearing all that had transpired, he said that he could probably get Vince to drive us there. Yesss. So, Kathleen got all excited again, I got a rush from having it finally work. Or not. Vic's parents didn't want him to drive to Ancaster, because of high gas prices. That was rather crushing. Then, I remember something my brother had said, when I was discussing the rides with my parents. He jokingly said he would take us, if we paid for his ticket to the movie. Right, so off I went, and told Phil that I was willing to take him up on his offer. Now, you have to understand that my brother is pretty much awesome. So, after clearing up some of the small details......he agreed. My parents also agreed. I was estatic, and shared out the good news. We were all happy. My brother invited his friend. We went to Ancaster. We met up with Kathleen. We discovered the movie was sold out. Ouch. After all that. Well, no reason to waste a perfectly good trip to Ancaster. We jaunted over to Kathleen's place, after picking up some food(mmm.....fuzzy peaches), and watched a hilarious movie, "Tommy Boy." And got kicked out at 9:00. Heh. No need to tell you why :P. Anyways, we hung around Ancaster for another hour and a half. I had an ice capp. My friend bought a book. It was all good.

I stopped off at home to grab my dress clothes, since it was Sunday the next day, and got dropped off at Vic's place. We noted the clearness of the night, and of course, the natural thing to do would be to do some starwatching. We chose the roof as a suitable location for that. We spread out our sleeping bag, grabbed a couple pillows, and turned on some music. That was our enviroment for the next hour, just....talking, laughing, watching stars, making wishes on shooting stars, trying to find the Big Dipper, and being attacked by a bat. At about midnight, we were told to get inside. So, we did. And then we read books for another two hours. Good times :).
