Christianity
I wanted to share with you some of the thoughts I had after reading my brothers recent post.
Step into the gutter. One of the reasons Christians have lost credibility is their willingness to fulminate against any kind of political discrimination they experience, while failing to demonstrate how religious people actually contribute to the good of society. Sure, many of us volunteer. So do many atheists. And even then, we seem to have little representation in the darkest corners. A friend of mine worked at a shelter in Hamilton that took in the people that no other organization would touch. Sounds like the sort of thing Jesus did -- but she was one of only a couple of Christians on staff.
I recently thought how sad it was that so many "Christians" can sit in their pews, listening to sermons, and never do anything to advance the Gospel. Sure, maybe they do give some money to the church. Maybe they even help out with delivering food to some homeless shelters. But, as James says, do we ever "step into the gutter"? There seems to be no effort to use the power of Christ to reach even into the darkest corners of the world. Why is that? Why are Christians so afraid of what others think? Is it so bad to be ridiculed?

Malachi 1:6
A couple nights ago, while I was doing Bible study with my Dad, we came across Malachi 1:6, and I thought I would share a few thoughts we had about it.
Malachi 1:6 - "A son honours his father, and a servant his master. If then I am the Father, where is my honour? And if I am a Master. Where is my reverence? Says the Lord of Hosts to you priests who despise my name. Yet you say, 'in what way have we despised you name?'
I think this verse i patircularly applicable to the youth in the curches(at least in my church). They can be silent for 3 hours during a movie, but while in church, they need to talk to their friends, and generally make a lot of noise. Why can't they understand the meaning of life is to glorify God? Is that such a hard concept. It's late, and there is a soft bed waiting for me....goodnight.

Gmail, shed...
Hello all and welcome to my blog. To start off, I would like to send a request for good movies and books to all who visit this blog....books especially. Next on the agenda is Gmail. If anybody wants an invitation to get an account, send me an email, post a comment, or something similar. And we're building a shed! Yes, the concrete pad has been there for about 4 years, but we finally got all the materials, and now the 4 walls are up, and the beginnings of a roof are there! Err....not much else to say, so enjoy the rest of the day!

What is reality?
What is reality? As I was commenting on Summer's blog, we ran across the topic of reality(not directly but hey). So I thought I would tackle the question of reality. So....What is reality? Is it what we feel, see, and hear? If so then your reality is different then my reality, because when you read this, you will be seeing and hearing something totally different than I. For example, at the moment my Dad is watching LOTR("Tomatoes...Just as nice, crispy, and baked." "We saved some for you Mister Frodo".), and the noise of that is influencing my reality. You might have a totally different reality then, because of what you hear, see, smell, etc. Or, is reality set? As I type on my computer, is the fact that there is a keyboard there reality? If that's true, then, if, for example, there is a Matrix, where everything we see and hear is being controlled by a machine, then the machines are reality, whereas in the other hypothesis, what the machines show us is reality. I leave it up to discussion.

Badminton
Hello all and Welcome to another day in the land of Keithville. To get you up-to-date on everything, here's (Insert cool name here). (Insert cool name here)? Thanks (insert cooler name here). In breaking news this...Day, Keith went to (drum roll), badminton! (It been 24 hours since I last typed and I've attended another session of badminton. lol.) Today, or actually yesterday, Keith was placed in the advanced section(thank you, but please hold you applause till the end)! Keith was nicely sitting on the floor watching the coach pick out the people to be placed in advanced, and he was muttering under his breath, "Pick me, PICK ME!". And then the coach said, "Oh yes Keith I've seen your hitting and I'm going to put you in the advanced section. And then Keith was just like "AAAAH!!!" Now here I am sitting at my comp....extreme tired! Today(yes really today), I had to bike to my friends, from there walk to the gym, play from 10:00 till 3:00, get driven to my friends house, chill there for half an hour, then bike back to my place, relax for another half hour, do my papers, and after I'm done this blog, do school. Not much free time.....Yes I'm still doing school....*weeps*. Coming tonight or tommorow....Something deep....Like the meaning of life, or what is time of something like that....SO please....be patient, and enjoy the evening...sorry about that badly edited post....too tired to do edit it....
